Canam International is part of the Canam Group with presence in North America, India and Africa. Through its subsidiaries and associate companies it has been successful in fulfilling its vision of developing the used clothing business on a world wide basis. This has been possible due to its unrelenting policy of providing premium quality and service to its millions of customer’s world wide. This customer satisfaction derived over the past 15 years has been our group’s major achievement. Our India operation was started in Year 2001 and since then has grown from humble beginnings to become one of the largest sorting & grading facilities for used clothing in the world, sorting 105 million pounds of mixed rags annually and employing about 700 people.

Infrastructure
Our factory is strategically located at Kandla Special Economic Zone, Gujarat, India and it enjoys logistical advantage due to proximity to Kandla Port which is one of the largest ports in India and is located just 20 kilometers away.
Our factory spread over 8 acres adheres to a strict quality program thereby guaranteeing the best possible product for our customers spread over Africa, South East Asia and North America. Moreover, as our export volume has surged, the Government of India has honored us by conferring the Top Export Performer award in the textile category for the past three years .

Our company can boast of the lowest employee turnover ratio among the units functioning in the Kandla Special Economic Zone and most of the employees have been with us since our inception. This helps us in understanding the customer requirements in a better way thereby ensuring that the high quality standards we have set ourselves are maintained.

This helps them in planning their outflows hence giving them the option of concentrating on the inflows. Due to the ever changing face of the mixed rags business it is very important at this stage to forge alliances directly; therefore we encourage Thrift stores, Charities and other Non-profit organizations in North America and Europe to associate directly with us.
